Program Outline: Initial Course

Theory Session:  3.5hr – 4hr (class size up to 8)

  • Held in a classroom/boardroom setting.
  • Consists of video & workbook presentation.
  • Includes a written multiple-choice quiz to ensure understanding of the material covered.

Practical Session:  (class size dependent upon level of operator experience)

  • Pre-shift inspection of the equipment to ensure there are no defects that would affect safe operation.
  • Fall protection if required.
  • Site inspection to identify any hazards.
  • Completion of a written pre-shift inspection report, noting any deficiencies identified.
  • Each employee will be evaluated through a demonstration of their skill and competence in the operation of the equipment by moving product around your site incorporating any worksite-specific conditions that may exist.
  • The length of time required for this session is dependent upon the level of experience the operator has had on the lift truck.

Program Outline: Re-Certification

Theory Session: 1.5hr – 2hr (class size up to 8)

  • Classroom session to review regulations, stability principles, pre-shift inspection, operating characteristics, and re-fuelling / re-charging procedures.
  • Written quiz to ensure understanding of material covered.

Practical Session:  (dependent upon class size)

  • Review of pre-shift inspection and completion of report.
  • Site inspection to identify hazards
  • Each employee will be evaluated through a demonstration of their skill and competence in the operation of the equipment by moving product around your site incorporating any worksite-specific conditions that may exist.
